BENGALURU: Eight arrested for kidnapping, striping and attacking a youth threatened a minor girl saying he will reveal her past love stories to family.In an incident resembling the murder of a youth who sent an obscene picture to cine actor Darshan’s girlfriend Pavidtra Gowda last year, eight persons including a minor girl were arrested on charges of kidnapping, striping and beating up a youth who allegedly threatened the 17-year-old-girl that he will reveal to her family on her past affairs. The incident took place at Hesaraghatta in Soladevanahalli, Bengaluru north of the city on June 30 and the girl has been shifted to a women’s rehabilitation centre. Preliminary police investigations revealed that the victim and the juvenile girl were in love and they got separated a few months back. The girl started moving closely with another boy. Meanwhile, the victim, who learnt of the girl’s new friend, allegedly told the girl that she was in the habit of having affairs and breaking it up and he would tell the same to her family. The girl shared the same with her new boyfriend and the new boyfriend, along with the minor girl, kidnapped the victim. The accused were allegedly provoked after Renukaswamy, a pharmacy store employee and a fan of Darshan, posted derogatory comments about Pavithra on Instagram.The victim was reportedly kidnapped, tortured, and beaten to death before his body was dumped in a drain in Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya — around 200 km from his hometown Chitradurga.
