Fire erupts on American Airlines plane at Denver Airport
A blaze erupted on an American Airlines aircraft at Denver International Airport during Thursday’s operations.
Passengers seemed to have no choice but to evacuate onto the wing of the aircraft, as reported by Fox News.
The cause of the fire remained unknown, and there was no immediate information about potential injuries.
This comes after multiple aviation incidents in the US this year. A major one being, a midair collision between an American Airlines regional jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in January which resulted in the deaths of all 67 people on board both aircraft. The crash, which occurred on Wednesday night over the Potomac River, is now the focus of a major federal investigation.
Other incidents included an air ambulance crashing in Philadelphia’s Castor Gardens neighbourhood, killing seven people and injuring 22 others. While, a collision of two small planes in Arizona which killed two people in February.
